Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that drive the automation and efficiency of our production processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production personnel, to ensure the seamless operation of our manufacturing facilities.



Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing processes, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts to support control system installations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control systems into production equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement PLC and HMI programming, including ladder logic, structured text, and graphical interfaces, to control and monitor industrial processes.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure reliable and safe operation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in the commissioning and startup of new manufacturing equipment, providing technical expertise and support to ensure smooth integration and operation.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to maintenance teams and operators to facilitate proper operation and maintenance of control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in control system technologies, automation techniques, and industry best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, programming, and implementing control systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
  • Familiarity with HMI development tools and software (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to control systems and industrial automation.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with motion control systems and robotics.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
